A Slice Of Community Spirit

I first connected with Tony Salihaj, the owner of Nolita’s Pizza, about three years ago on a spontaneous day in the city. I had the brilliant idea to walk to Nolita’s and ask if he’d be open to hosting a pop-up. Tony, having learned the art of pizza making at a shop on Bleeker Street, didn’t hesitate for a second. He welcomed the idea, and I knew right then that this was the perfect place for a collaboration.

Partnering with my sister brand Flwerz, we created exclusive merch and had it sold at Nolita’s. The turnout was fantastic, with a strong sense of community and support for both Bangos and Nolita’s. The best part? Many people who came didn’t even know about Nolita’s before, but that’s exactly what the collaboration was about—helping brands and businesses, big or small, gain more visibility.

Tony has owned Nolita’s Pizza since 2011, and his commitment to the neighborhood is undeniable. He’s not just serving pizza; he’s fostering a sense of community in a way only a true local business can. It’s been a pleasure working with Tony and watching the impact of our collaboration on the community.
